Our aim is to introduce the people of Luxembourg, as well as visitors from around the world, to the rich cultural heritage of the Himalayan region and to the contemplative traditions of China, Tibet, and Japan.
The Himalayan cultures represent one of the world’s oldest and most diverse cultural traditions. Through our activities, we aim to create opportunities for people to experience their richness and to discover practices that foster well-being, inner peace, and personal growth.
We seek to contribute to the well-being of the people of Luxembourg by organizing events that encourage physical and mental relaxation, cultivate greater mindfulness and presence in everyday life, and simply bring joy, inspiration, and a sense of connection.
To achieve this mission, the Association works closely with members of Luxembourg’s Himalayan communities, as well as with people from Tibet, China, Nepal, Bhutan, and India. We also collaborate with scholars and experienced practitioners of Asian cultures and contemplative traditions, including specialists in Tibetan studies, mindfulness, meditation, Tibetan Buddhism, Chan Buddhism, Japanese Zen, yoga, Ayurveda, traditional dance, and the visual arts of the Himalayan region, including the ancient tradition of Tibetan thangka painting.
Our programme includes lectures, workshops, cultural events, exhibitions, concerts, film screenings in partnership with local cinemas, and courses introducing traditional Tibetan, Chinese, and Ayurvedic medicine. We also organize workshops dedicated to the traditional cuisines of the Himalayan regions, offering participants the opportunity to experience these cultures through taste and shared community.
Our vision is to create a welcoming space where people can discover the wisdom, beauty, and diversity of the Himalayan and contemplative traditions and integrate their timeless values into everyday life—promoting greater well-being, mindfulness, joy, compassion, and inner peace.
